Tequila Cazadores Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month With Sofar Sounds

Bringing the voices of Latin America to the big city

Tequila Cazadores has been one of the oldest tequila brands in the world, providing quality tequila for over 100 years.  And throughout its history, Tequila Cazadores has made it a point to celebrate Hispanic heritage and promote Latin voices.  So, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Tequila Cazadores has partnered with Sofar Sounds to showcase some of the vibrant sounds that the Hispanic community has.  If you are unfamiliar with Sofar Sounds, they host intimate concerts throughout the big cities and feature local artists with immense talents.  Sofar Sounds has actuated hosted talents that have garnered worldwide recognition like Billie Eilish, Jack Harlow, Leon Bridges, and more.

The concert took place at Maxwell Social in Tribeca.  Guests arrived to the location and were taken to Maxwell Social’s basement space where they were surrounded by vibrant and eclectic décor.  Sofar Sounds usually is a BYOB space but in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Tequila Cazadores provided each guest with a Cazadores craft cocktail or one of their canned cocktail concoctions.

There were three artists features, all coming from Latin backgrounds.  The first artist was Maya Vera who sang in an effortless and soulful tone that made the audience feel at peace.

The second artist features was Mercedes Gala who comes from Mexico and is a producer and songwriter.  Her music style was a perfect fusion of soulful singing with an upbeat pacing that created a fun vibe.

The last artist on the docket was a beautifully weird and quirky band known as Pinc Louds.  Their style of music is something indescribable but one thing that stood out was their use of instruments and understanding of sonic landscapes.  Their performance put a smile of people’s faces and was a treat to witness in person.

The New York City stop was not the last stop.  Sofar Sounds and Tequila Cazadores are continuing their celebration with more concerts in other major cities.  You can find their upcoming shows here.
