TENCEL Celebrates Earth Month with Environment Event

It’s April. So, while that may mean plenty of rain showers for May flowers, it’s also Earth Month.

Though caring about the Earth and its environment is a year-round concern, Earth Month allows for different forms of environmental activism to take place each year. And it’s no surprise that TENCEL is taking the initiative with a brand-new campaign for the month. During a panel at Hudson Yards, the company hosted professionals and brands that are dedicated to preserving the Earth with conscious fashion.

TENCEL, a sustainable and biodegradable fiber is made from trees and used in products ranging from bed linens to clothing. With brands such as All Birds, Levi’s, and Reformation using this fiber, TENCEL is increasingly important in the fashion industry. As the second largest polluter of the Earth, fashion needs a radical change in the near future. The event featured brands Bleusalt (womenswear and menswear) and BN3TH (men’s intimates) as well as representatives from the United Nations Sustainable Development Group and Conscious Fashion Campaign. The major takeaway from the event was that brands and companies need to put forth the effort to make eco-friendly fashion available for consumers.
