‘Step Sisters’ Coming To Netflix January 19, Watch New Trailer Now

‘Step Sisters’ – a new production from Netflix where Black girl teaches white sorority how to stomp it like it’s hot.

This month, Netflix is bringing to you a new film from the producers of hits such as Straight Outta Compton and Insecure.

Step Sisters follows the story of Jamilah Bishop (Megalyn Echikunwoke) – president of her sorority, captain of the step dance crew, liaison to the college dean and a star student who is on her way to Harvard Law School.
When she encounters a slight bump on her road to Harvard, she takes a deal to teach a mostly white sorority how to step – without telling her sorority sisters, she begins training Sigma Beta Beta (SBB) for the “Steptacular” dance competition.

Along the way, the girls have to learn about forming a true sister bond in order to win the contest – here comes the lesson of female empowerment.

The film stars Megalyn Echikunwoke, Matt McGorry, Naturi Naughton, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Marque Richardson, Eden Sher, Lyndon Smith, Gage Golightly, Nia Jervier and Alessandra Torresani.

Directed by Charles Stone III (Drumline, Paid in Full) and written by Chuck Hayward (Dear White People), Step Sisters is coming to Netflix on January 19th.
