Steak ‘N Lobster Makes Luxe Food Affordable in Chelsea

Manhattan residents rejoiced last month with the opening of Steak ‘N Lobster, the latest must-try restaurant in the Chelsea area. With sleek interiors and a full bar, Steak ‘N Lobster brings a fun atmosphere perfect for family dinners or weekend date nights.

Patrons are greeted with a lobster tank upon walking in, showcasing the fresh, 100% traceable Maine lobsters that are to thank for the delicious menu options. The aptly-named restaurant specializes in surf-turf comfort foods with a Japanese twist, courtesy of executive chef Masato Okamoto.

Lobster cream puffs

The menu offers appetizers including curly Cajun fries and airy lobster cream puffs– an addictive surprise favorite that impossibly becomes even more scrumptious with dips in the accompanying sweet plum sauce.

The New York strip steak

Entrée options are split into “Meet the Meat” and “See the Sea” sections, with all dishes only $20. Carnivorous guests can decide between New York strip, Cajun, and Kogi steaks, or opt for a chopped steak burger, while lobster lovers can select from lemon garlic roasted and “piri-kara” whole lobsters, lobster rolls, or standout lobster mac and cheese with the right breadcrumb-to-lobster ratio.

Lobster mac and cheese

The coveted lobster roll is a difficult dish to pull off for die-hard fans, but Steak ‘N Lobster nails the New England classic with twist of Japanese mayo, diced apple, cucumber, and celery in a perfectly-buttered toasted brioche bun.

Signature lobster roll

“Steak ‘N Lobster brings the New York City culinary scene an opportunity to eat what is usually through of as celebratory foods on a daily basis,” restaurant owner Don Fellner said, citing the accessible menu. “Because there are only two high ticket items we sell, we are able to pass that saving to our guests and give them a very high-quality product at an incredibly affordable price.

The bar offers beer, wine, and custom cocktails such as the smooth Skinnyrita and signature SNL, a fruity potion that is dangerously delicious with an Instagram-worthy light pink coral hue.

Steak ‘N Lobster is an obvious new favorite restaurant– who doesn’t want a little lobster during their perfect summer?

Steak ‘N Lobster is located at 129 West 29th Street. For more information, please visit snlrestaurant.com.
