STARZ Announces January Premiere Date for Season Two of The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast

STARZ announced that season two of The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast will premiere Friday, January 16, with new episodes streaming weekly on Fridays on the STARZ app and all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms.

This comes six months after fans got a sneak peak of the series back in the summer of 2025.

The six-episode second season marks a major moment for the series, as Terry Flenory breaks his silence for the first time in an exclusive, in-depth interview. Widely regarded as the strategic mastermind behind the Black Mafia Family, Terry offers unprecedented insight into his role in building the organization alongside his brother, Demetrius “Meech” Flenory. Over the course of the season, viewers will hear Terry’s perspective on the brothers’ close bond, their shared ambition, and the eventual unraveling of their relationship as power struggles, paranoia, and mounting law-enforcement pressure pulled them apart.

The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast chronicles the rise and fall of the Black Mafia Family, the infamous drug empire that grew from the streets of Detroit into one of the most powerful criminal organizations in American history. Fueled by loyalty, hustle, and a relentless pursuit of success, the Flenory brothers created a sprawling network that extended far beyond their hometown. However, as the documentary details, internal rivalries, betrayals, and the consequences of their choices ultimately led to the organization’s collapse. The series also examines the lasting cultural legacy of BMF, whose influence continues to resonate in music, fashion, and popular culture.

The documentary arrives alongside ongoing interest in STARZ’s scripted drama BMF, which dramatizes the brothers’ story. In that series, Terry Flenory is portrayed by actor Da’Vinchi, whose performance helped bring wider attention to Terry’s often understated but crucial role within the organization. Demetrius “Meech” Flenory, meanwhile, is played by his real-life son, Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. Season two of the documentary adds real-world context to the dramatized events seen in the scripted series, offering viewers a deeper and more personal understanding of the real people behind the characters.

The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast is executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who also serves as executive producer on BMF and the Power Universe. Shan Nicholson (Jerusalem: City of Faith and Fury, Rubble Kings) serves as executive producer and showrunner. Additional executive producers include Razan Ghalayini, Richard Perello, and Stacey Offman, with Khidija Rivera and Jessica Vale as co-executive producers and Kenyatta Steans as supervising producer. The series is produced for STARZ by Jigsaw Productions in association with G-Unit Film & Television.

With Terry Flenory’s first on-camera account at its center, season two promises to shed new light on one of the most talked-about crime stories of the last three decades.
