Set to hit theaters July 28th, Sofia Vergara hosted a special NYC Screening of “The Emoji Movie” at the New York Institute of Technology’s  Auditorium on Broadway earlier this week.

The Emoji Movie is an animated movie starring some very talented and notably hilarious individuals. To name a few, the cast includes T.J. Miller (who plays Gene), James Corden (who plays Hi-5), Anna Faris (who plays Jailbreak) and Maya Rudolph (who plays Smiler).

The NYC screening was supported by Synchrony Bank.

Before the screening began, we spotted many special guests arriving on the red carpet including Rachel Dratch, Oona Laurence, Constantine Maroulis, Lilla Crawford, Tori Feinstein, Taylor Richardson and Olivia Chun.

Many of the carpet arrivals were kids and despite the flashing cameras and questions being thrown their way, they were pros with the press.

Sofia Vergara who voices the ‘Flamenco Dancer Emoji’ in the movie, was also in attendance. She was the host for the movie screening. And when she arrived, all of the photographers started screaming her name. She even posed with real-life-stuffed emojis. Check out some pics below:

Despite the screening taking place quite early on a Sunday morning, the energy was definitely at an all time high.
