Young Thug Releases ‘Slime Season 3’

Young Thug finally released the long awaited Slime Season 3 mixtape.

Different from the other Slime Seasons, Slime Season 3 only has 8 tracks, which is unusual for Thugger who usually has over 20 tracks on his mixtapes. Although some fans may feel cheated about getting fewer tracks, there is a reason for this. Working with his new manager Lyor Cohen, who is a part of 300 Entertainment, he has been taking a new approach to the music he puts out, focusing on quality over quantity

Ironically months before this mixtape was released, Young Thug and Metro Boomin got into an argument over Twitter about Young Thug copying Future’s trend and releasing a lot of projects despite the quality. Thankfully, Boomin and Thugger squashed the beef and the two made a few songs together afterwards, but it seems as though maybe Young Thug did take what Metro Boomin was saying into consideration.

A part of Thug’s new management approach is making him do more public interviews on popular radio stations like the Breakfast Club, Sway, and others. I think these changes for Young Thug has definitely made him more marketable and will only broaden his fan base through the personal connection we are not able to get with him normally. Slime Season 3 was a successful tape, and well worth the wait.
