Slick Rick Shines as He Performs at Hip-Hop Unconscious

Once upon a time not long ago, Slick Rick was the talk of the town on a worldwide scale.

In an era that predated social media, Slick Rick was an artist that made the art of story telling something to admire.
Along with his story telling, his ability to capture the attention of a live audience was second to none. Direct evidence being his infamous song “La-Di-Da-Di” with legendary beat boxer Doug E. Fresh.
While Doug E Fresh was unfortunately not in attendance. Those that were fortunate to see Slick Rick were in for a treat.

Those in attendance was reminded of his almost giant like stage presence as Slick Rick hit the stage and shined as he always had.
Running through his infamous album “The Great Adventures of Slick Rick”- Rick performed hits such as “Mona Lisa” and “Children’s Story”.
At one point Rick didn’t even have to rap his verse as those in attendance knew the songs word for word.
As cool as ever, Rick just put the microphone to the crowd and rode the wave of their voices.
While it was evident Father Time was catching up with him, his gold and diamond medallion was proof he was and forever will be apart of hip hop royalty.
While his set was short-Slick Rick did not disappoint. The intimate climate of the venue gave those in attendance a chance to see Slick Rick in a way that they couldn’t have imagined.
