On The Scene: Sir Ivan’s Sinful 60th Birthday Party and Performance

Sir Ivan celebrated his 60th birthday – and the recent release of his electronic version of John Lennon’s classic “Imagine” –  at his famous Hamptons castle.

On Saturday night, famous party host, philanthropist, and recording artist Sir Ivan welcomed guests to his Hamptons estate to celebrate his 60th birthday with a spectacular Garden of Eden themed party. Guests, including Sir Ivan’s celebrity friends such as Orange Is The New Black cast members Barbara Rosenblatt, Tamara Torres, Lynne Tomiko and Farrah Krenek, Singer Aaron Paul, Broadway actor Colin Asercion, and actress Nikki Khouri, were instructed to wear “tropical paradise” themed costumes, such as fig leaves, body paint, snakes, flowers and fruit – and, judging by the flesh on display, the partygoers really did “undress to impress!”

The climax of the evening came when Sir Ivan performed his new electronic dance music version of John Lennon’s “Imagine,” from his castle terrace high above the crowd – after which he was paraded through the party on a throne carried on the backs of revelers!

Following this spectacle, Sir Ivan was kind enough to sit with us for a brief interview where we discussed his message, hopes, and legacy.  “My message is that difference is very good, and that variety should be celebrated instead of treated poorly, and that love is very contagious,” Sir Ivan answered.  Regarding his legacy, Sir Ivan said that he wanted to be remembered as “the sweetest, biggest hearted man on the planet” and “very colorful.”

Judging by his generosity and love of people, and parties, we think that is exactly how he will be remembered.
