Select Cardholders Enjoy Exclusive Sunset Sail

On Wednesday July 30th members only network Select held a Sunset Sailing event on NYC’s Hudson river with a guest list reserved for Select card holders.

Members boarded the sailboat (considered one of the largest in the country) just before sunset and enjoyed a two hour open bar with stunning views of The Statue of Liberty and the downtown Manhattan skyline. Much like a credit card rewards program, Select ties to a member’s existing credit or debit card offering special VIP experiences and discounts to clothing stores, movie theaters, and top rated restaurants.

We chatted with SELECT’s founder Carlo Cisco to find out more about Select and the card’s services.

The Knockturnal: So tell us about Select.

Carlo: The basic idea here was to create something for the premiere higher end merchants to create lasting relationships with a highly sought after demographic and deliver exclusive benefits and events like this.

The Knockturnal: Does it operate like a credit card?

Carlo: Right now it acts as an extension of any preexisting credit or debit card so that’s an optional feature, if members don’t want to do that they can just use the card or use the mobile app, but in the future it may very well be a credit card.

The Knockturnal: How is Select curating events?

Carlo: A lot of our events are happening with our regular partners so dining partners, hotel partners, nightlife partners, but in addition to that we look for activities we think our  member demographic would enjoy so things like  a sunset cruise or a private gallery opening or a speaker series.. that sort of thing.

Not in NYC? Select just launched in the DC metro area with plans to launch in more cities soon.
