On The Scene: Sebago Celebrates 70th Anniversary

This Wednesday, we had the chance to celebrate Sebago’s 70th anniversary in their new pop-up store in the trendy Nolita neighborhood of NYC. In celebrating their anniversary, the shoemaker is offering a collection of exclusive handsewns with a nod to past and future for men and women.

“In honor of our 70th Anniversary, it felt like the right time to celebrate the heritage of our shoes while also showcasing how far we’ve come in the last seven decades,” – Dani Zizak, chief marketing officer of Sebago

In addition to an exclusive preview of the collection, the event offered an authentic oyster shucking class, handcrafted ice cream sandwiches, custom Sebago Co. Brewery beer, and live music. Guests mingled in the newly decorated store while being introduced to the collection. The new pop-up will remain open from May until August in the Wolverine Co. Store. Some of the limited edition shoes featured include the Heritage Handsewn, 70th Anniversary Dockslides, and Legacy Penny. The exclusive collection can also be purchased on their website, Sebago.com.

The selection is now open to the public located at 254 Elizabeth Street.
