On The Scene: Polish Fashion Night

Polish American Fashion Foundation celebrated Polish Fashion Night at an exclusive event in Inglot Chelsea showroom.

On Monday, October 17, Polish American Fashion Foundation (PAFF) celebrated the second edition of Polish Fashion Night. The event focused on the influence of Polish designers on the American fashion scene. Held in the headquarters of Polish beauty brand, Inglot, event featured the presentation of most prominent fashion designers.

The event was sponsored by Inglot; the brand gave away complimentary goodie bags with some of their staple products.

The broad array of various collections featured items ranging from fur hats, to silky dresses, to outerwear and much more. The brands included in the presentation were: ShallWe, creating beautiful silky dresses combining elegance with unique prints; Monica Nera, a brand dedicated to self-confident women aware of their sex appeal, who appreciate minimalism and elegance; CONFASHION, for women who like to stand out from the crowd without sacrificing elegance – it features modern approach to knitwear, laser-cut printed pleats and timeless simple forms. ZAŁUCKA KUCZERA doesn’t focus on a specific age group, rather emphasizes boldness of character – her SS17 collection features oversized simple, sporty yet elegant form. Acephala is a conceptual fashion label fusing innovative thinking on garment with high-end craft; the brand’s inspirations come from fashion of France and Japan. KISS THE FROG highlights its character by raw finishes, oversize models, multiple layers and excellent quality. Last but not least, Williams & Reiff, created by a couple of some of the most prominent Polish stylists and designers, focuses on beautiful female silhouettes and classic prints.

As the night focused mostly on women’s fashion, we could see an urban lifestyle fashion brand for men – Danakil. The collection was inspired by the Danakil desert in Ethiopia, one of the most inhospitable regions of the world. From his experiences traveling to Ethiopia, designer Bartosz Kusnierz applied pattern of dry cracked soil and salty shapes of the desert to his designs.

The PAFF showroom is open daily 3pm – 8pm, Tuesday, October 18 through Friday, October, 21 and Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Inglot Pro Studio – Chelsea Market 75 9th Avenue, 5th Floor
