Sandra Bullock, Daniel Radcliffe, & Cast Celebrate the Premiere of ‘The Lost City’

Hollywood’s favorites came out to celebrate the premiere of the comical, action adventure The Lost City.

The film co directed by brothers Aaron and Adam Nee take moviegoers on an unpredictable experience through the jungle when the unsatisfied romance adventure novelist, Loretta Sage [Sandra Bullock] is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire [Daniel Radcliffe]. Lately Sage has been avoiding even leaving her home but was convinced by her eager publicist [Da’Vine Joy Randolph] to take on a book tour with dimwitted cover model, Alan “Dash” Caprison [Channing Tatum]. However, when things go awry and Sage gets kidnapped, Alan becomes his fictional character and decides to rescue her, despite having no survival skills. The film also stars Brad Pitt, Oscar Nunez, and Patti Harrison.

On Monday, March 21 fans gathered in numbers outside the Regency Village Theater in Los Angeles, to catch a glimpse of the stars as they made their way onto the “green” carpet. Co-directors, the Nee brothers best known for their films such as The Last Romantic and Band of Robbers have made quite the transition from indie films to a major production. “It’s hard to process that transition. It feels surreal to be operating on a level where we’re working with people like Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum and Brad Pitt,” shared Aaron Nee. On the other hand, The Office star and comedy favorite, Oscar Nunez is no stranger to working with Bullock. Nunez and Bullock worked together on the 2009 comedy, The Proposal and Nunez joked “I’m not popping up as much as in The Proposal, I’m wearing more clothes…it’s a lot of fun, more adventure.” As fans cheered for the arrivals of the cast, the moment had arrived, Sandra Bullock popped out in a stunning pink, glittery gown with a cropped blazer. The actress recently made headlines as she shared she would be taking a break from acting to be a full-time mother. While fans will certainly miss her, Bullock shared what she will not be missing from the limelight saying, “the nervousness about saying the wrong thing on the red carpet, the nervousness about wearing the wrong thing on the carpet and I won’t miss being on a set, which I love being on a set but I won’t miss right now being on a set 15 hours a day and wishing I was home with my kids.”

As the red-carpet frenzy died down, the cast, crew and guests filed into the theater to watch the premiere of the film. The Nee brothers made brief speeches thanking Bullock and the entire cast for an incredible experience while Bullock joked that she had been looking for a strong female director and they got two men instead.

The Lost City is in theaters March 25.
