The Knockturnal: Where were you when you got the call for Season 15?
Jax: I was at a bagel shop and in the middle of stuffing my face with a sesame bagel with cream cheese and jelly. Very specifically remember because when I picked up that phone, it was a I can’t speak because my mouth is full moment. Yeah, there’s a picture of me crying because of it and eating a bagel.
The Knockturnal: Ariana Grande was the celebrity guest judge for the premiere! What was it like meeting her? And was it giving Arianeeee or Ariankaaaa?
Jax: It is always giving Ariankaaaa. And she is the reason I only wear ponytails to this day – in support and solidarity. High up teas let’s give it. But she was fantastic. It was amazing to have someone that you have seen grow. She came on as a guest judge in a previous season. But coming back now is her coming back as a superstar that she is today.

Jax: Their name is Vinesh and they live down the street from me. And they are also interviewing me right now. And note it down people for the record we used to date. The evil gay person behind me is absolutely Michelle Visage. But, that is because her critiques are like a mother’s punch on the bosom. They are harsh but they are right. And you take it with a grain of salt but grow from it.
