Rumor: Rachel McAdams Has Been Offered Lead Female Role in Marvel’s Doctor Strange

Rumor has it that True Detective star Rachel McAdams may have been offered the leading female role in Marvel’s Doctor Strange, to be released in 2016

According to Heroic Hollywood, Rachel McAdams (who is currently owning it on HBO’s True Detective) has been offered the leading female role in Marvel’s trip to the supernatural world of Doctor Strange. Whether this actually happens, we’ll have to wait and see. But McAdams in a Marvel film could be a great combination. What this role actually is? Not quite sure yet. Once more information has been revealed, we’ll let you know.

Doctor Strange centers on Stephen Strange, an unlikable, egotistical surgeon who’s life changes when he gets into a car accident and limits the use of his hands. In a quest to find a cure, he meets the Sorcerer Supreme and everything in Stephen’s world gets a little stranger. Doctor Strange will be directed by Scott Derrickson with a script from Jon Spaihts, starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange with rumored casting of Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo.
