Rumor: Colin Trevorrow to Direct Star Wars: Episode 9

Coming off the success of Jurassic World, it’s rumored that director Colin Trevorrow will be given the helm for Star Wars: Episode 9

According to Heroic Hollywood, it seems that LucasFilms has something up their sleeve at Comic Con during their panel. It’s a rumor, but it appears that director Colin Trevorrow will be given the chance to expand on his already impressive resume with Star Wars: Episode 9.

There’s a lot to be excited about with the Star Wars franchise lately — JJ Abrams directing Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens to be release December 18, 2015, Rian Johnson directing Star Wars: Episode 8, and the announcement of Phil Lord and Chris Miller directing the Han Solo spin-off film. It seems Star Wars is making a huge comeback.

Stay tuned for more news coming out of Comic Con this year, as well as a confirmation on this rumor.
