The Roxy Hotel in TriBeCa hosted the cast of Black Mafia Family and special guests for an intimate screening of the new Starz series.

The show, inspired by true events taken from the lives of Detroit brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” and Terry Flenory, is set to premiere on the network on September 26, 2021.

Among the attendees were Executive Producers Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Randy Huggins who were responsible for the project coming to life.

Prior to the start of the screening, 50 Cent spoke about the series, saying: “It’s been really really interesting working on this project with Randy, he’s the brains behind this operation.

He’s been through a whirlwind of different energy and things, and I’ve been able to be beside him.”

The story of BMF tells the story of Demetrius and Terry Flenory who built a massive drug and money laundering organization in Detroit, Michigan during the 1980s.

The pair went on to become wealthy and highly respected due to their savviness in and out of the streets.

Demetrius’ son, Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr., plays his father in the series and is joined by Da’Vinchi as Terry.

Speaking to fans of the show via Instagram, Lil Meech said that “everyone should tune in to watch BMF because BMF has a soul to it.”

“It’s not just about drug dealers, it has a feeling to it,” he added. “If you have a family, it doesn’t matter what race you are, you can still feel connected to BMF because it’s a family at the end of the day. Everybody has a family,” Lil Meech said.

After the screening, guests gathered at The Django bar for drinks and photo opportunities with the stars of the night.

Among the special guests were cast members La La Anthony, Russell Hornsby, and Ajiona Alexus.

You can watch the first season of BMF on Starz on Sunday at 9pm ET.
