Rooftop season in NYC is certainly up to a great start, thanks to the ROOF At Park South!
Enjoy the roof’s fresh air, with gorgeous views of the Chrysler Building, comfortable and stylish lounge seating, a warm and cozy outside fire-place, an elegant bar, and an intimate and easy-going atmosphere. The House of Yes Dancers definitely brought the fun, with a mermaid personally serving you cocktail sauce for your seafood, and a dancer on tall stilts, all gold-sequined up, personally serving you champagne. The rooftop has a beautiful flower arch entrance, and flower/ mirror wall, that serves as a perfect photo op for visitors. Dancers were dressed in bright and bold tropical outfits that transported me straight to Cuba, while sipping on their spicy margarita frozes, served in charming pineapple-decorated cups. As day turned to night, the DJ blasted danceable tunes, and the House of Yes Dancers definitely brought the party to life!
The cocktail (or two) of the evening, that definitely gave me the bee’s knees, was suitably called Bee’s Knees itself, and was made with Sipsmith Lemon Drizzle Gin, Honey Lavender, and Lemon. The other cocktails that were featured were Negroni, Old Fashioned, Margarita, and the Toki Highball. As for food, there was a GG Tokyo Seafood Raw Bar, Sweetbriar’s Brisket Sliders, and a gorgeous vegetable spread, with delicious and fresh, fuchsia hummus. The new food menu was created by James Beard Award-nominated Chef Bryce Shuman, and the spirit cocktails were created by Beverage Director, Ivan Papic.
The ROOF at Park South is located at 125 E 27th St, and is open Sunday and Monday 4-10pm; Tuesday to Thursday 4-11pm; and Friday and Saturday 4-12am.
