Romona Keveza Hosts Cocktail Party to Benefit ‘Hour Children’

Every year, designer Romona Keveza chooses a charity to host at her boutique flagship penthouse in Manhattan, NY.

This year, on July 20, 2016, the Hour Children charity foundation was chosen to host a cocktail party at renowned designer Romona Keveza’s Flagship, to bring awareness to women that have been newly released from prison. Guests included New York socialites, including members of the Real Housewives of New York City along with a myriad of other philanthropic donors. The charity partnered with the Dream Extreme foundation, which raises funds for Hour Children and celebrates its 7th annual expedition, to put on the event. Spearheaded by Sister Tesa Fitzgerald, the charity’s mission statement is to break the cycle of intergenerational incarceration.

The champagne fundraiser was held in the lavish penthouse of Romona Keveza, and adorned with the designer’s Spring 2016 collection gowns displayed on mannequins. Models perused the room dressed in luxurious gowns, which they twirled in as they spoke about the collections. Established in 1986, Hour Children works to help incarcerated women and their children successfully rejoin the community, while living healthy and independent lives.

Their partner charity, Dream Extreme, is headed by Linda Argila, and raised funds for their 7th annual extravaganza held in the Hamptons, which will take place from September 16-18 2016. The event raises funds to benefit the Hour Children foundation and kicks off with kiteboarding, parties, and tons of other adventurous activities.
