Last week Romeo Hunte unveiled his Fall/Winter 2026 Collection at the illustrious Gotham Hall. This season’s collection titled, NOIR VIGILANTE, refined the house’s codes through precision tailoring and controlled disruption. The show started off with a jazz performance, followed by the first look. The music was ominous, the setting was dark, but the looks shined in this Dark Knight inspired presentation, with Gotham being an appropriate setting. This collection sharpened familiar forms; trench coats, denim, button-down shirts and evening wear into sculptural silhouettes defined by proportion and structure. Tuxedo elements were integrated into daywear. Stone-washed denim was engineered with cinched waists and architectural shaping. Classic tailoring was recalibrated for a sharper, more deliberate expression.
Outerwear remains the foundation of the brand. Crocodile-textured technical coats, structured denim trenches and saturated trench silhouettes in green, yellow and deep burgundy underscored Hunte’s command of statement construction while maintaining functional integrity. Lace detailing introduced subtle contrast against monochromatic foundations, reinforcing a balance of strength and refinement. The house’s six-block square dot motif appeared selectively across silk prints and tailored silhouettes, asserting brand identity with restraint rather than excess. With NOIR VIGILANTE, Hunte advances his position within American luxury by focusing on disciplined construction, material elevation and silhouette control. The collection reflects a maturation of the brand: heritage informed, technically assured and architecturally precise.
Standout looks included an all black leather blazer and cape which flowed like Noir Vigilante personified on the runway. This collection was one of our favorites this season, featuring classic silhouettes reimagined, the juxtaposition between motion and structure and innovative designs like the textured black swan cocktail dress, and distressed drawstring pants in both black and gray! The denim was sexy, chic, and elegant, and we are obsessed with the denim trench coat and denim puffer vest, two classic designs taking life through new material and medium is always exciting.
