Queen Latifah and Jermaine Dupri Announce New Show

Queen Latifah and Jermaine Dupri are searching for the next big star in their new show The Rap Game.

The new, unscripted show will have five artists aged 12 to 16 immersing themselves in the Atlanta’s hip hop community. They will be collaborating with producer Dupri and guests each week including Usher, Ludacris and T.I. to help improve their skills and mold them in to stars.

Queen Latifah and her partner Shakim Compere will be executive producing the show along with the Flavor Unit team. The show will include several up and coming talent including Lil’ Niqo, 15, from San Diego. The rapper is the youngest artist signed to Island Def Jam Records. He also was a part of the drama The Finder along with 50 Cent and Jacob Litimore.

Youngest of the group, Lil’ Poopy is a twelve-year-old songwriter from Brockton, Mass. He’s made over 200 videos and performed with Puff Daddy and French Montana.

Miss Mulatto, 16, and Supa Peach, 12, both from Atlanta have the complete support of their mothers moving forward in their rap career. In Supa Peach’s case moving away from her family home in the Virgin Islands.

Rounding out the group is 15-year-old Young Lyric from Houston. Having already went viral before she was 7, the rapper has gone on to win Best 14 Year Old Rapper on World Star Hip Hop’s site and has no plans on slowing down.The show will premier on New Year’s Day a 10 p.m. on Lifetime.
