Pronovias Presents Its New 2018 Collection

Pronovias presented its 2018 collection on March 8th 2016 at their NYC flagship store.

The world’s leader in bridal gowns, incorporated practical details to make the modern bride as relaxed and versatile as possible. This new collection is all about incorporating beauty and comfort into a contemporary elegant gown. The Barcelona native company, has surely grown from its small beginnings, but it has always maintained the Barcelonan romance in each of its collections. This year was no exception. Its creative director, Herve Moreau, focused on reinventing the mermaid dress, adding deep V necks, elevating the quality of their laces, and including convertible styles.

The highlights of the collection were the pronounced necklines with plunging backs and exquisite gemstone embroidery that went perfectly with the optical white fabrics. The “Rafia” style was the second look of the collection. It incorporated all of this season’s motifs such as the silk Mikado fabric, plunging back and gemstone embroideries. It also had a slit, a train and beautifully wrapped buttons bordering both arms and the model’s back.

Two looks included a detachable cape which the Pronovias spokesperson swore it would be the next trend of the industry. It provides the drama of a train or a beautiful veil, without having to compromise a head accessory or a comfortable and movable design later on for the reception.

Future brides were seen fantasizing every time one of the gowns featured lace, brocade, and gemstone embroidery. Pronovias was able to include the trendy comfortable shapes in delicate fabrics, as well as more traditional princess cuts with heavy expensive-looking materials.
