Preview: Brunch In The Park Madrid

The 23rd of September might be the official end of summer, but don’t be bummed because Brunch In The Park Madrid is just getting started!

Ever get to Sunday and you just wish the weekend wasn’t almost over, that there was a place where you could enjoy dancing, socializing, and incredible music for one more day before returning to your responsibilities? If only a place like that existed… Well good news for you, it does! And it’s called Brunch In The Park.

What is Brunch In The Park?

Combining the best of electronic music and environmental awareness, Brunch In The Park takes place every Sunday beginning the 23rd of September until the 21st of October from 1 PM to 10 PM at Parque Enrique Tierno Galván, Madrid. BITP manages to bring incredible talent (this season including DJs such as Dixon, Ame, Nastia, Michael Mayer, Derrick May amongst many others), as well as food trucks for people to munch on tasty dishes (vegetarian options included), and is family friendly! So you don’t have to leave your little ones at home but rather bring them to be part of Petit Brunch, where they’ll be entertained by the multiple activities designed for them.

Born in Barcelona, the day festival Brunch In The Park has managed to branch out to cities like Madrid, Lisboa and Valencia not only because of the A-talent and high-level organization they have but also because of their innovative and environmental-conscious ideas. This season BITP brings a new motto with them “Alegria i Compromis” which means Joy and Compromise in order to promote equality, community, and sustainability.

Joy and Compromise

Brunch In The Park wishes to present a variety of social and environmental activities directed to the city of Madrid. There will be actions of sustainability taken in order to preserve our environment, educative and cultural activities for the different boroughs, as well as campaigns for the respect of sexual orientations and against homophobia. On top of all these incredible initiatives, the festival will collaborate with Ecoembres, a non-profit organization in order to promote sustainability, including their reusable cups to avoid plastic residues.

What I love behind Brunch In The Park is that they actively try to use their voice and influence in order to create a real impact on social and environmental awareness. In fact, BITP is the first festival to participate in the “No is No” protocol emitted by the Town Hall of Madrid against sexual harassment.
