Premiere: Dewey Decibel Slings That ‘Bacteria Slime’

As announcement for his upcoming Sub Cult EP, Dewey Decibel premiers “Bacteria Slime” freestyle with The Knockturnal.

Bundled with a rad visual, “Bacteria Slime” marks Dewey’s slide back into the rap game. This first stroke is a confident one as Dewey shifts his well honed art skills over eccentric production. Sounding comfortable as Nike socks fresh out the bag, Dewey runs over the beat with ease, delivering his classic “collage rap” flow. His bars feel meticulously concocted, but keep that natural touch of an emcee just kicking it over a beat.

This freestyle is a lace restaurant serving free samples outside in the summer. You fall in love on the first bite but have to roll around for seconds because it isn’t enough. After seconds, you end up calling in to make a reservation. After hearing “Bacteria Slime”, I’m somewhat patiently waiting for the drop date, November 27th, so I can get my full meal with Dewey’s Sub Cult EP.

Metaphors aside this is some wild verbal flexing on Dewey’s part, his internal rhymes are on point and his word choice is uniquely imaginative. Those are powerful tools to be working with when you’re crafting an LP. I can only surmise the end results will reflect his efforts.

You can check out his past tracks and check out Sub Cult when it drops November 27th on Soundcloud
