Power Book IV: Season 1, Episode 3 Review

Unlikely pairings is a television trope that never gets old. Tonight’s Power Book IV: Force totally went there with it.

Tommy Egan has no other choice but to pair up with Liliana to produce product. Sure it pissed him off, but at least he got to learn more of what she was doing the entire time before they had their unlikely reunion on the previous episode of Force. While this was going on, Tommy, Diamond, and his brother Jenard were too busy dealing with their own sticky situation. That is, their feud with the Flynn Family.

The Power series is no stranger to family feuds. But this time, it is Tommy Egan that is stuck in the middle of this. He wants both the Flynn Family and the CBI to end it so they can all do business. But Walter Flynn is not having it. Especially at the scene by the bridge. Also, Tommy Flanagan gets all the praise for playing an intimidating and smooth villain. Just also remember that Tommy Egan says a funny line each episode he is in as “Let’s stop pretending you know the difference between BLM and BET” is now on the top tier list!

Another story that is ongoing on Force is Gloria and Victor Flynn. Even though these two are not together anymore, Vic is still convinced that Gloria would want to be with him. But it is tough on Gloria’s end because Vic’s family only wants him to be with an Irish woman. When you have an old school, strict family like that, there will be clashes over different ideologies! But at the end, Gloria and Tommy hook up and I believe these two will get together.

Another great episode of Power Book IV: Force in the books. Only two more episodes left of the first half!
