Power Book IV: Force Season 1, Episode 2 Review

When the Flynn family told Tommy Egan to get out of Chicago, they meant it! That is how I can sum up this week’s Power Book IV: Force.

Looking to make some money, Tommy Egan went out to prove himself to Diamond and his crew that he is a valuable asset. That means, go on a mission to sell product. But this was no easy task as crime in Chicago has run rampant and police are everywhere.

The performances of Isaac Keys, Tommy Flanagan, and Shane Harper were stand outs for me on this episode. And of course Joseph Sikora with his crazy one liners towards all of the characters he interacted with. I am also curious on where the direction of D-Mac will lead to since it was revealed that he was the shooter early on in the episode.

I can say that I am surprised to see Lilliana return here. She wass last seen on the original Power and Tommy was also surprised! The fight scene her and Tommy had was believable and I thought that Tommy was going to kill her. Another story to follow is Walter’s status. He is sick and Vic will have to take over once Walter dies. That is if he wants to due to the fact that he and Gloria are in a relationship.

By the end of this GTA-esque mission, Tommy made it known to everyone that he is here to stay. And he did that by buying the new apartment that was leased.

This episode of Power Book IV: Force is fast paced and action heavy and I love it. I hope that they keep the consistency going forward. I do have faith that they will since this is part of the Power universe. And bonus points for our first look at 8 year old Tommy!
