PLAC Presents Spring/Summer 2016 Collection

It’s the beginning of the inaugural Men’s Fashion Week here in New York, with the first shows of NYMD coming out blazing with extraordinary presentations.

PLAC is the epitome of the new generation of contemporary menswear, inspired by a number of trend influences from young to military. Visually, the collection takes on a modern look of the new youth underlaid by a chic Korean edge. Unique items included oversized polo knits layered with washed gray jeans.

The pieces aren’t obnoxiously loud or bright, but sophistically layered with interesting materials that normally don’t pair well together, such as high density cotton with light silks. The unique materials come together to represent a feeling of freedom, overcoming oppression and anxiety. Alone or combined together, the pieces are able to stand out alone or be matched to give off an effortless, energetic feel. All in all, the collection is a standout with its clean-cut and refreshing constructions.
