The official trailer for Penélope Cruz’s newest Spanish-language film is out now!
The Spanish actress and Academy Award winner delivers a powerful emotional performance in acclaimed director Julio Medem’s newest film, ma ma.
Following the high melodrama style of Pedro Almodóvar and Douglas Sirk, ma ma follows Magda (Cruz) on her journey through the tragedies and miracles of life after she is diagnosed with breast cancer. She meets Arturo (Luis Tosar), a devoted husband and father whom are in the midst of a loss. As if destiny brought the two together both are led down a path of strength, grace, love and rebirth.
The film is set to open in New York on May 20 and Los Angeles and Miami May 27. National releases are to follow.
