The Park Terrace hotel in Midtown, Manhattan is not only conveniently located blocks from both Grand Central Station and Port Authority but is also the new home to the new Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser hot chocolate system, just in time for the holiday season.
Park Terrace hosted a pop up in collaboration with the beloved UK-based chocolate brand, Hotel Chocolat in their Terrazzo Lounge last week to celebrate the official US launch of the Velvetiser hot chocolate system. The Velvetiser is a sleek machine that produces European-style hot chocolate, straight from the comfort of your home—simply add the milk of your choice, a packet of Hotel Chocolat’s real Hot Chocolate flakes, press the power button, and the chocolate is perfectly blended down into a cup of hot cocoa in two and a half minutes. What sets the Velvetiser apart from other hot chocolate systems is its technology. Based on thousands of years of history, the Velvetiser takes the best parts of hot chocolate-making and adds a modern twist with anti-scorch technology and an easy to clean design. Not to mention the Velvetiser’s chic colors! Available in rich copper and platinum, or a matte charcoal and white, the Velvetiser will fit nicely into any style of kitchen. As for the Velvetiser Hot Chocolate Flakes, the packets are available in a range of flavors (how does apple pie hot chocolate sound?), including vegan and non-vegan options as well.
The celebration included an open bar with two signature drinks, a Salted Caramel Rum O’Fashioned and a Chocolat Espresso Martini, a viewing of the Bryant Park tree lighting ceremony and its fireworks, a special performance from Broadway stars and couple Orfeh and Andy Karl, and of course, plenty of cups of Velvetiser blended hot chocolate.
Can’t wait to get your hands on the Velvetiser? Visit Park Terrace Hotel this holiday season to try a cup for yourself—trust us, it’s well worth it.
