P.O.S. Drops One Shot Video in Berlin

Rhymesayers Entertainment and Doomtree member, P.O.S. linked up with Alex One Shots to provide a new visual for Lock-picks, Knives, Bricks and Bats.

Initially a punk artist before transitioning to Hip Hop, P.O.S. toes the line between rock and rap in a way that harkens to the infantile years of Hip Hop. Learning its first words in the Bronx when Punk and Rap would share venues like siblings. As an artist out the Midwest, P.O.S. pulls in regional influences from both coasts while mixing in that cold Minnesota flavor.

Out in Berlin, P.O.S. decided to make a live music video with ALEX One Shots and the setting really fits the aesthetic of “Lock-picks, Knives, Bricks and Bats”. These live versions of music videos are also really beneficial to P.O.S.’s rather punk style of Hip Hop. It’s very in your face, but not in a threatening, rather sincere way. This sincerity and closeness to the listener is an ingredient that P.O.S. always injects to his records, pumping them full with a punk based energy.

The single shot video is definitely not a unique thing, but the style Alex brings in this visual has its own style. Alex mixes a natural style using imperfect camera alignment with the symmetrical backdrop. It gives the sense that P.O.S. is going off kilter.
