On The Scene: Star Studded World Premiere of Record-Breaking ‘1883’

The Knockturnal was on the scene for the star-studded world premiere of ‘1883’ at the Wynn Las Vegas.

The Encore Beach Club was transformed into a red carpet where we caught up with stars who told us about the characters they play in the Yellowstone prequal.

LaMonica Garrett, Eric Nelson, Amanda Jaros, Gratiela Brancusi and Martin Sensmeier were dressed to impress and told The Knockturnal how excited they were for the world premiere.

The premiere came in the middle of filming, with the cast flying out to Las Vegas for the weekend and then right back to set on Monday.

Fans lined up to watch the actors walk the red carpet and cheered when Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and Sam Elliot arrived. The cast and some lucky fans were then ushered into the screening of the first two episodes, which was held at the world-renowned Encore Theater that has been newly upgraded.

The series has now broken records as Paramount +’s most-watched premiere ever, with 4.9 million total viewers.

“The success of Taylor Sheridan’s 1883 is another proof point of our unique model to leverage our linear platforms and franchise our biggest hits to supercharge Paramount+,” said Chris McCarthy, President and CEO ViacomCBS Media Networks. “We went big with 1883 – the ‘Yellowstone’ prequel – and it delivered big and shattered all records.”
