On The Scene: Rick Ross Celebrates His Tenth Album ‘Port Of Miami 2’ In Brooklyn

After releasing his debut studio album in 2006 named Port of Miami it was only fitting that Rick Ross released his tenth studio album in 2019 named Port of Miami 2.

This has been a very highly anticipated album not only because it’s part two to his debut album but also because Rick Ross hadn’t released an album in over two years. After releasing “Act a Fool”, “BIG TYME” and “Gold Roses”, fans were ready for the new Ross album and knew that this one was going to be special.

On August 8th, Epic records held an album release celebration for Rick Ross and Port of Miami 2 held in Brooklyn. The event was filled with Ross’s own business ventures with Wingstop serving Ross’s favorite Lemon Pepper wings and Belaire pouring the Rosé. Epic showcased Ross’s journey throughout his career by displaying his ten albums chronologically to show how far he’s come from his debut project till now. Many fans came to support Rick Ross since he’s a veteran in hip-hop and also one of the top emcees as well. His support didn’t end there, people such as Wendy Williams and Lil Mama came out to support him.

Rick Ross was in great spirits when he made it to the album release party, coming in with his Mom, Meek Mill and Busta Rhymes. He thanked everyone for attending and also for supporting him throughout his career. He even performed a couple of his most popular songs such as “Hustlin” which is from Port of Miami. He also performed “F*ckwithmeyouknowigotit”, then brought out Meek Mill to perform “Ima Boss” with him. Just when we thought the performances were done he convinced New York’s own Busta Rhymes to perform some of his classics such as “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See”, “Dangerous”, “Make It Clap” and “Pass The Courvoisier”. It was a legendary night with performances by Ross, Meek and Busta. The energy was great throughout the night since everyone was there to support Ross. Port of Miami 2 is now available.
