On The Scene: Renaissance Hotels Celebrates its 8th Annual Global Day of Discovery

Last week Renaissance Hotels celebrated its 8th Annual Global Day of Discovery and launched their “Discover This Way” campaign.

In anticipation of its 2020 Harlem branch opening, Renaissance Hotels took over the streets (and some buildings) of Harlem during its 8th Annual Global Day of Discovery. Kicking things off at Harlem Parish, where guests were served complimentary cocktails, The Global Day of Discovery began with an introduction by Renaissance Navigators, who were tour guides for the evening. Guests were taken to several Harlem hotspots like Baby Girl’s Bubbles & Cleaners which was transformed into a showroom with the help of Harlem Haberdashery, featuring local designers and Harlem legend Biz Markie singing his iconic “Just a Friend” for the crowd. Guests were then led to the beloved Harlem Shake where comedian Nicole Bryer performed standup as guests were served complimentary cocktails, burgers, and shakes. Other stops on the Harlem tour included food truck Harlem Seafood Soul and a classic brownstone covered with graffiti by New York artist CES. Inside the beautifully decorated apartment featured the musical stylings of producer and DJ, DJ mOma and outside of the apartment dance crew The Ruggeds showcased their talents. At the end of the evening and tour singer, Judith Hill gave a beautiful performance at Harlem Parish. Check out some highlights from the evening below.
