On the Scene: Red Carpet at the Star-Studded 36th Carousel of Hope Ball

The 36th annual Carousel of Hope Ball was held at The Beverly Hilton on October 8th, raising over $1.7 million for the Children’s Diabetes Foundation and the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes, adding to the $110 million The Carousel of Hope Balls have raised for diabetes treatment and awareness.

 

The Knockturnal spoke with Lyndon Smith, Janice Dickinson, AnnaLynne McCord, Andy Grammer, Julie Ann Emery, and Deborah Cox on the red carpet prior to the event, discussing topics ranging from the personal significance of the charity ball to the star’s upcoming projects.

Diane Keaton was honored with “Brass Ring Award” in front of an audience of patrons from the film, television, business, and music industries united over the charitable cause. The award, presented by Emmy award-winner Loretta Devine, was given to Keaton in recognition of her philanthropic achievement and commitment to supporting the Children’s Diabetes Foundation and the Barbara Davis Center as they work to find a cure for diabetes.

 

Howie Mandel was the emcee for the evening, and the night’s festivities included a live auction, the presentation of the Brass Ring Award to Diane Keaton, and performances from high-profile musical artists Andy Grammar, Deborah Cox, and John Legend.
