On The Scene: Oxford Fashion Studio at London Fashion Week

Oxford Fashion Studio shook the catwalk and the face of fashion with the launch of their new label, Voussoir. The collection featured more than 30 items designed by four Independent designers handpicked by the British fashion disruptor.

The series featured women’s and men’s clothing full with swoon-worthy coats for both genders and information such as comparison bags, pipes and faux fur lined collars by the German brand Leonie Mergen. Leonie Mergen is a high-end fashion designer who creates designs that are deeply rooted in the brand’s DNA for both males and females with German tailoring and craftsmanship. It was all-inclusive and had both men and women in the audience swooning over the potential new outfits. Presenting her newest Spring / Summer 2020 collection at London’s Royal Opera House, Leonie’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection embodies menswear with: earth Green, Navy-Blue, and bold white and red bringing designs. From a white shirt to military touch for the men’s collection to adding a lighter city-chic design for the women’s designs, the clothing constantly uprooted the norm.

There were five capsule collections launched under the new label. The first, from Swedish label, K-Ourage, was focused on classic clean lines and neutral tones of black, white and beige with interesting details such as harnessed straps and chic athleisure inspired pieces. The second capsule was created by South African designer, Vanessa Gounden, and featured dreamy watercolor inspired prints in luxurious silks and satins. Suiting separates were perfectly tailored and could be corporate or red carpet worthy.

A show stopping gown in a watercolor inspired print was a favorite among stylists in the audience seeking their next red carpet looks for clients. The third mini-collection in the series showcased both women’s and menswear complete with swoon worthy jackets for both genders and details like contrast pockets and piping from German label Leonie Mergen. The designers behind Vingt Quatre created the fourth capsule with wearable separates and dreamy coats and jackets. The final series focused on relaxed fit separates with color blocking in grays, burgundies and teals from UK designer Harriet Eccleston. Wearable separates dominated along with an a standout gray dress providing a sherbet tangerine pop of color with structurally and geometrically draped fabric.

Voussoir is a fresh fashion house providing timeless ready-to-order items by autonomous developers created by Oxford Fashion Studio. It enables customers to promote autonomous developers in a fresh and distinctive manner to discover new talent. With fast fashion losing traction due to its lack of sustainability Voussoir is the ideal alternative for new chic pieces of clothing. The collection centered on fluid clothing separating color blocks in grays, burgundies and teals. It displayed designs that  dominated along with an outstanding grey clothing with only a purposeful amount of color added into each one of them.
