Million Dollar Listing NY hosts a massive premiere party for the 6th season (premiering Thursday!) at Marquee with Ryan Serhant and more in attendance. Read the interviews!
We dropped by the super-posh Marquee in NYC for the sixth season premiere party of Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing New York. The expansive event had everything from truffles and sake to big beats and plenty of LBDs and Louboutins. We stepped around back to catch up with the cast, including Ryan Serhant himself and Emilia Bechrakis, the newly married couple. Check it out, and be sure to catch Million Dollar Listing on Bravo.
Interview with Emilia Bechkrakis:
EMILIA BECHRAKIS: Enjoying the married life! We went to New Zealand and Bora Bora, and I fell in love with New Zealand; I liked we did so much there, and I discovered we like the adventure more than cheeky relaxation!
THE KNOCKTURNAL: When it comes to houses, what do you think of these trends like separate master bathrooms?
EMILIA BECHRAKIS: Oh, I love it! Though I have, to be honest, we have three bathrooms and always end up in the same one! The moment you get in the moment or evening, you’re brushing your teeth and you touch base… I think you need your alone time or an opportunity to have some mystery.
THE KNOCKTURNAL: What are some things you don’t like too much in terms of houses?
EMILIA BECHRAKIS: I don’t like a lot of clutter. I like simple, but I ended up in a house with a lot of color and a lot of clutter because of my husband.
THE KNOCKTURNAL: Do you like open floor plan or closed?
EMILIA BECHRAKIS: I love the open floor plans. Open floor plans and lots of light, big windows for lots of light!
THE KNOCKTURNAL: What do we expect from you on the show?
EMILIA BECHRAKIS: We’ve always collaborated, but now I’m into land title insurance so that’s a nice way to connect but not be in each other’s way. We have the same network, and speak the same language. I’m a little more private with my business, but I’m in the show on a personal level, absolutely.
Interview with Ryan Serhant:
RYAN SERHANT: Go into a different store, and find someone who’s really passionate about it, but they never learned how to sell, then turn them into sales machine. It’s not about profit or business, but individual sales people and teach them to sell what they love to sell.
THE KNOCKTURNAL: It’s not real estate!
RYAN SERHANT: People have reached out to me since the show started (six years ago!), where it’s like: I’m a tire salesmen, and I’m willing to learn what to do when someone says this or that, it’s all the same.
THE KNOCKTURNAL: How would someone find the show?
RYAN SERHANT: We have open call! Some postings on social media, we really want to get real people!
