On The Scene: Inside The Vivacious, Star Studded, Opening Night of Revolve Gallery

If you’ve had access to social media this week, chances are you’ve heard a thing or two about Revolve Gallery. Earlier this month, Revolve made the long-awaited announcement that their iconic gala would be returning to New York Fashion Week. Taking place five floors up at New York’s glamorous Hudson Yards, the interactive, fifteen-room exhibition takes guests on a glamorous walk through all of Revolve’s latest collections. Its opening night has been one of Fashion Week’s most highly anticipated events, and it certainly did not disappoint. We had an exciting first look at the now quintessential NYFW event, here’s a bit of what it was like:

As soon as you first step out of the elevator, you’re awaited with a stunning pink room filled with Insta-worthy moments ranging from a giant mirrored R to a gorgeous white backdrop. The opening night was complete with a red carpet, where you could catch a glimpse of stars like Ciara, Angus Cloud, Lori Harvey, Sabrina Carpenter and so many more.

The first room you enter in the exhibit features pieces from NBD in a pitch-black room illuminated by bouncing spotlights. The first thing we noticedwas the showcases’ occasional lack of mannequins. Instead, some of the pieces were featured on models, adding an element of performance art to the experience. Make sure to adjust your eyes, because the dark NBD room quickly fades away into theSanta Brands X Revolve Collection, which features sparkling dresses in an exhibit made to resemble a corn field, where even the wheat sparkles.

From there, guests are treated to an iridescent room by Kim Shui, shown an immersive, 3 wall presentation on the dangers of micro plastics and the importance of sustainability, and a gorgeous warm yellow room featuring Camila Coelho’s latest collection. At this point, you can stop for a drink, at an Onda bar right in the middle of the exhibit. Next up on the adventure is the Lovers and Friendsroom, whose timeless designs are only fit to be in a room that belongs in a storybook. The mystical pink room is complete with vines on the walls and a beautiful mirror to document the experience.

Ciara’s collection will have you feeling like you stepped out of the exhibit and into a nightclub with the rooms fabulous red mood lighting. The collection is bold and stylish, just like the room itself. It leads right into our personal favorite room (though they all come so close), Remi Bader’s Remi x Revolve collection, being showcased in a dazzling purple waled exhibit complete with hundreds of disco balls. There was not an inch of the room that wasn’t illuminated with the dazzling disco light, and we couldn’t get enough. The next room was a stark contrast from the dimly lit disco ball

room, with Aya Muse’s Revolve collection being presented in a stunning room filled with plants and trees. The beautiful designs were perched on platforms being held up by rocks, creating the perfect outdoor illusion. House of Harlow had us feeling like we’d walked straight into a Sci-Fi movie with their 1960 x Revolve collection. The room was illuminated by dim red lighting that had bo0th the atmosphere and the collection feeling both futuristic and vintage at the same time.

It was time for another drink break, and luckily Celsius had us covered. The seltzer’s were on display in a gorgeous Gym Style setup, with a fridge containing some limited edition flavors. We sipped on our seltzers while we walked into the next room; Eaves and L’academie’s collections on display in a room resembling an airplane, pretty much to a T. Guests who visited the next room would be greeted by the familiar site of Kendal Jenner’s Iconic 818 Tequila Brand, who had their own lounge in right after Eaves and L’academie. The beautiful room was not all, as guests were treated to special edition 818 drinks and cute stickers as they enjoyed the many sites in the exhibit.

Michael Costello’s designs were next on deck, on display in a glimmering chandelier room filled with differently shaped mirrors. Andrea Iyamah’s room was to follow, and it had us traveling from circular platforms across piles of pebbles to get to the different sites of the room. Decorated to look like a living room, Helsa’s room was up next, with their gorgeous accessories displayed all throughout the room. Before making one final

drink stop at the Lacroix Room, we viewed the stunning designs of Well Being + Being Well in a glimmering sunset room as our last stop at the exhibit.

There was truly so much to see in every room that the experience was both so much fun and so incredibly memorable. The contrast from room to room provided so much excitement for what was to come, as we knew it wouldn’t be like anything we’d seen before. Each room held so much personality and the designs were so well represented by their corresponding exhibits.

Revolve Gallery is truly the most can’t miss event this fashion week, and its open to the public! Hear all about it and reserve your tickets here!
