This past week, we got a chance to visit Hammer & Nails Grooming Shops for Guys, a salon specialized in pampering and taking care of men. Hammer & Nails’ goal is to create a setting that promoted regular grooming care for men, offering services from pedicures and manicures to haircuts and facials. Their facilities are made to make guests feel comfortable and relaxed, boasting oversized leather chairs, dim lighting, personal TVs, and cocktails at the ready. No matter what kind of person you are, there is no doubt that you will enjoy yourself here.
During our visit, we tried out their signature manicure and pedicure along with a classic haircut and beard trimming. For the manicure and pedicure, we were brought into a warmly lit room decked out with leather chair and personal TVs for us to enjoy. The nail specialist started off with pedicure. The feeling of getting your nails trimmed and feet scrubbed was great and is definitely an experience that everyone, especially guys, should try. After the traditional pedicure was done, the nail specialist rubbed in a special sugar scrub across our legs to get rid of any dead skin and to smoothen out our legs. To finish off the pedicure, the specialist placed our feet in a wax substance, similar to a candlewax texture. This would make your feet feel so silky smooth. While our feet were in the wax bag, the specialist then proceeded to the manicure. This was very much like a standard manicure wit nail filing, nail trimming, and a nice scrub down of the hand. Even though it was very standard doesn’t mean it didn’t feel good though. The specialist did a wonderful job making sure our hands were relaxed, and we felt comfortable.
Next up was the haircut and beard trimming. This was a fun experience because the barber really took into account what we wanted and made sure we were comfortable and relaxed the entire time. As I was getting the haircut, there was an extra attention to detail where I never felt any sort of pulling or pinching that sometimes comes with a haircut. What was even better was the warm towel treatment on your face. The barber essentially wrapped a hot towel around your face and allowed for you to soak up the heat and relax your face. This towel treatment paired with the comfortable chairs was dangerous because I felt myself falling asleep with how relaxed I felt. After the barber finished my haircut, I was left very happy with how it looked. Usually I get very paranoid when having someone new cut my hair, but with the level of professionalism and attention to detail all staff members had, I felt extremely comfortable the entire time.
Hammer & Nails is hands down one of the best grooming experiences I have had. Although they specialize in male grooming, they welcome people of all genders to take advantage of their vast services. Their shop is chic and trendy and the staff there are extremely friendly and make you feel very welcomed. We highly recommend you take a look and go in for some high end grooming.
