“The look is Mob Wives but not really because she is not the wife. She is the BOSS.” – Christian Cowan

We’ve spent the day backstage with TRESemmé and Smashbox cosmetics to get the full details on the Christian Cowan NYFW show. Starting with TRESemmé, the theme followed “Polished Sophisticated.”

“The inspiration for this look is expensive with a sense of luxury and confidence. The hair is polished, coiffed, and structured with a classic set and then brushed out,” says Justine Marjan, TRESemmé and Celebrity Hairstylist. The hair guru walked us through her entire hair process, including wigs the models worn from The Hair Shop Wigs.

Over on the other side of the beauty room, the bright lights and make-up brushes filled the room! Smashbox Global Pro Lead Artist, Lori Taylor Davis walked us through the make-up look for the show. ““From a super flushed cheek, taking inspiration from 1940s and 1950s looks, to a strong mob wive brown hue for our lips. We want just a flick of eyeliner to draw it all together. We also see blush making a comeback in a strong way, and our newly launched Halo Sculpt and Glow Face Palette makes this artistry trend easy and buildable.”

Key Products Used: Original Photo Finish Primer, Always On Foundation, HALO Healthy Glow 4-In-1 Perfecting Concealer, HALO Sculpt and Glow Face Palette, Always On Always Sharp Eyeliner,Super Fan Mascara, Be Legendary Line + Prime Lip Pencil and Lipstick.
