On the Scene: celebrating the launch of the Half Baked Harvest Every Day book with Tieghan Gerard

On Friday, the food blogger and New York Times’ best-selling author held a special book signing at the Soho Crate & Barrel.

Food is meant to feed the soul! Tieghan Gerard knows this to be true, especially with her latest book “Half Baked Harvest Every Day.”

The cookbook is filled with recipes that are flexible, well-balanced, and designed to be feel-good. Gerard first began Half Baked Harvest as a blog in 2012 where she posted recipes. The blog has been featured in magazines and on the Food Network and the Cooking Channel.

Gerard released her latest cookbook “Half Baked Harvest Every Day” last Tuesday and held a signing in partnership with Crate & Barrel. “Every Day” focuses on a sustainable, non-restrictive approach to cooking. The more than 120 recipe cookbook has dishes for just about every lifestyle and group. From family-friendly dishes to vegetarian cuisine, the cookbook doesn’t shy away from turning classic recipes into extravagant dishes with just a few steps.  The book is perfect for the beginner mixologist as a section is dedicated to making different, bold cocktails.

Special guests were offered light bites and cocktails prior to the signing.  “Every Day ” is the follow-up to Gerard’s other books including the original “Half Baked Harvest” and :Half Baked Harvest Super Simple.” Gerard has accumulated a massive following online which was apparent at Friday’s signing as the line wrapped around the entire Crate & Barrel. After the signing, attendees were invited to a Q&A which featured a surprise appearance from Gigi Hadid and Antoni Porowski.
