Pride celebrations were in full swing throughout New York City last week, and The Knockturnal was on the scene, or should I say in the pool, for one of the hottest ones.
In their dazzling tribute to Pride Week, The Dominick Hotel, nestled in the heart of SoHo, unveiled its first-ever poolside celebration on the “Terrace on 7” rooftop on June 26th. This luxurious 5-star Diamond hotel pulled out all the stops to create an unforgettable event, with proceeds from ticket sales dedicated to supporting the Ali Forney Center for LGBT homeless youth.
There’s nothing like a pool in the summertime, and one right in New York City with stunning rooftop views is unbeatable. This was just one of the many sites to be seen at the Dominick on Wednesday.
Upon entry, guests were treated to an exciting choice of fans, flasks and visors to use throughout the party. Hosted by the incredible Megami from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16 and featuring special guest pop-artist Ashley Longshore, the evening promised a blend of glamor, creativity, and heartfelt support for the community. Megami performed a lively show with iconic hits like Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club.”
One of the highlights was the naming contest and ceremony for the rooftop Queen honeybees, symbolizing both the hotel’s commitment to sustainability and inclusivity. One of the bees went home with the glamorous new name of Bee-yoncé.
Guests were treated to an array of experiences, from exclusive cabana seating options to delectable bites from El Ta’koy, an Asian-Hawaiian culinary outpost. The atmosphere was electric with music curated by resident DJ Roman Chappelle, spinning tracks that kept the energy high throughout the night. Photo opportunities abounded, capturing moments of joy and celebration against the stunning backdrop of Manhattan’s skyline.
The Dominick delighted attendees with impressive gift bags filled with hotel swag. Lucky winners also had the chance to win an overnight stay at the hotel, renowned for its luxury and sophistication.
