Oh, baby (baby!) Friday launches the highly anticipated Britney Spears pop-up experience, “In the Zone,” in West Hollywood.
The exhibit features 10 rooms inspired by some of MTV TRL’s greatest hits. You walk into Britney’s classroom à la “…Baby One More Time.” Once you leave the classroom, you’re hit with the iconic “Baby” choreography on a big screen, in between a set of interactive high school lockers.
From there you step into Britney’s angsty gym where she pined over the guy in the black tank top. Here you can leave Britney a love note.
Next stop is outer space while dancing along to “Oops…I Did it Again.” Make sure to press the heart in the hunky astronaut’s hand for a surprise.
The “Stronger” room is a shock to the system. Dimly lit with flashing lights and a mirror to… well, mirror the music video. Take a peek at the ceiling while you’re in there.
“Me Against the Music” is a fun, extended experience. Towards the end you can scan your “In the Zone” entrance bracelet to have the same dance-off with Britney that Madonna did in their music video.
Grab your carry-on, no creepy TSA check required for the “Toxic” room. If you hang around the phone at the exit long enough, Britney will call with a special message.
The “Circus” room is probably one of the most significant in the exhibit. See Britney’s actual costume in the room before jumping into the giant ball pit. Zoltar will give you your fortune before you head towards the somber “Blackout” themed room. Kneel at the altar for a wink from Heaven.
From a biblical themed Britney room to snakes! We hope you’re ok with giant reptiles. Recreate Britney’s incredible MTV performance and pose with her most famous sidekick.
If you like having your photo taken then you will love the “You Wanna Piece of Me” room. It offers a Britney themed step and repeat. Stand still and your photo is projected on the other side of the wall along with magazine stands.
There are multiple merchandise mini-stores throughout the 30,000 square foot experience. Although there is no word yet on if Britney will visit, organizers say that she did have a hand in the creation.
“In the Zone” is open from January 31 – April 26. Tickets are available at www.britneythezone.com.
