On The Scene: Bluprint Sip & Sew

NBCUniversal is known for its presentation of media, news and Bluprint. Now nine years old, Bluprint remains a reliable source of online courses and content dedicated to giving users the tools they need to get their start in or further explore countless hobbies and crafts.

After partnering with Sewing Down South and Southern Charm’s Craig Conover, the craft site threw a “Sip and Sew” holiday gathering in NYC in the Conrad hotel’s Atrium Suite on Oct. 29. Over light bites and drinks, attendees celebrated the launch of Bluprint’s Premium Annual Subscription.

The festivities consisted of tutorials from sewing expert Vanessa Vargas-Wilson and Conover, both former law majors who ditched court for their love of crafting. In addition, guests also got a first look into the five possible crafting kits Bluprint would send subscribers this season; based on the task individuals could choose to tackle. From embroidery to crochet, each kit comes with all the necessary tools to create a final piece anyone could take pride in.
