NYFW is slowly winding down but runways throughout the city are still heating up with flashy and striking looks that attract the high-profile stars sitting front row. However, Mexico City-born and Brooklyn living designer Paola Hernández took a subtler yet fashionable approach to her Fall/Winter 2019 line.
The designer showcased her line at the Arlo Hotel in SoHo on Monday, where she opted out of the typical runway presentation and instead presented her pieces through a whimsical, dance presentation. Upon entering, dancers are seen performing a contemporary dance routine while wearing the designer’s latest collection.

“The Constellation of Time” was the theme for this collection, incorporating dark, neutral toned knitwear with symbolic shapes and repeated patterns which Hernández’s says explores a combination of contemporary art and philosophical concepts. The collection consists of comfy dresses, knit tops, sweaters and cardigans that are casual yet stylish and the perfect apparel for every type of outing.
