NYFW: Global Fashion Collective (GFC) F/W’23 season

Global Fashion Collective held a NYFW event in Brooklyn for designers AMBERGLEAM, Jasive and Maison De Hoe.

Global Fashion Collective, which launched in 2017, stems from Vancouver Fashion week and was established to provide a platform for emerging designers. GFC hosts shows across diverse fashion capitals around the world and aim to help designers increase their global brand presence.

AMBERGLEAM” by the Nagayama’s presented their fall/winter season of 2022. The concept behind the brand is “clothes that you want to share”, which interweaves the essence of men and women. Produced with the idea that ​​clothes can be shared regardless of gender or age.

Next up was Jasive by Jasive Ferńandez a Mexican businesswoman and designer. Jasive fosters timeless fashion and is inspired by the creators’ Mexican roots. Jasive’s designs are under the concept of elegance and sophistication which shined on the runway. The brand is also known for their ethical and sustainable fashion.

Lastly, was Maison De Hoe by Hanwei Su, a fashion designer residing in New York City. A Parsons graduate, Su’s main inspiration for this collection was Chinese farmers, specifically her Chinese grandmother. Each model was carrying farming tools, particularly hoes. Maison used these tools on both male and female models to represent the farmer spirit.  The hoe each model carried was also a nod to the brand name: Maison de Hoe.
