NYFW: Fashion Palette S/S 2018 Show

Eight Australian designers came together to showcase their fresh looks for the spring season.
This year’s Fashion Palette NYFW show featured ready-to-wear collections on the runway. Sabo Luxe kicked off the show, showing off ruffled sleeves, gingham patterned pieces and knotted accents on pastel-colored garments that shouted out spring. Directly after was Ashlee Lauren’s accessory collection that consisted of gold leaf crowns, chandelier earrings and beaded chains that was paired with a uniform of lacy black lingerie and white dress shirts.

Lauren’s collection was followed by Bronx & Banco, a collection that strikes the crowd with its colorful and glittery bodysuits and cocktail dresses. There was also the occasional bejeweled cape.  The next few collections brought a retro-vibe to the show. Haus of Song’s collection brought out vibrant, neon colors and off the shoulder dresses that were very ‘80s. Flare Street’s collection took it back another decade with their flared jumpsuits that were individually bold and striking with their 70s style prints. Torrance continued the 70’s trend with a collection of silk pantsuits and various leather pieces.

MB the label was up next and the collection consisted of fitted clothing with minimal design and a very neutral pallete, very suitable for the office and a night out. Directly after was Elliatt, also good for work and after, but with a wider color palette and more floral lace.
