HOLDNYC unveiled their Spring/Summer 2025 collection at The Highline Room at The Standard in Chelsea — among sweeping views of New York City and much fanfare.
The NYFW runway show and presentation was invite-only to fashion industry insiders and top influencers and the feeling in the space was one of wanting to literally “hold” on to summer 2024 a little longer… between the heat wave in NYC and the heat coming from the latest collection.
Prior to the show, guests mingled outside and sipped featured specialty cocktails called the Prickly Daisy (tequila, lemon oil liqueur, prickly pear, and lime) and the Hibiscus Spritz (apertif, vermouth, prosecco, and grapefruit).
But the main event of course was the debut of next spring and summer’s menswear line. Models strutted down the catwalk showing off a collection that continued the modern bold look of menswear. Playful pops of bright color and fun cuts and styles, such as sheer tops, breezy fits, open knit viscose sweaters, summer wool twill pant, sheer ripstop capris, loose silk lounge pants, and stomach-baring midriffs — particularly one that was an overall top (with the model carrying a bouquet of flowers) — also abounded throughout the collection.
Of course, perhaps the look of the day that got the most attention on the catwalk, was the model that had his own Carrie Bradhsaw runway style moment… wearing just a pair of skivvies along with a (much shorter) jacket. After the show, the models came out and held a presentation of the collection so that guests could get up close. Hors d’oeuvres, such as fried chicken sliders and veggie rolls, were passed around.
