Celebrity Hairstylist Lacey Redway once again created an ICONIC look for the LaQuan Smith NYFW FW23 runway show.

Using all TRESemmé products, Redway created “The Satin Ponytail,” inspired by the LaQuan Smith FW23 collection.“LaQuan has a lot of beautiful fabrics and silhouettes in his collection. I drew inspiration from the materials by noticing how the sequin and satin reflected and bounced off the light. I wanted the same feelings for the hair – shiny and reflective.” Redway also took a moment to share which TRESemmé product was her hero product for this season. ” There are so many hair textures this season, so my hero product is the One-step Blowout Balm. No matter the texture of the hair, keeping the hair hydrated is  very important, and the One-step balm is an excellent hydrating product for all different textures of hair.”

See below for a step-by-step breakdown of how to achieve this look.

STEP 1: Begin by working TRESemmé One Step Blowout Balm into damp hair from roots to ends to smooth, protect against heat, reduce frizz, and boost shine. Rough-dry product into hair with a flat paddle brush.

STEP 2: Once hair is completely dry, part out a large section of hair using the arch of the eyebrows as a guide on the width and parting back to the crown of the head for length. Clip this section of hair away.

STEP 3: Gather the remaining hair into a low ponytail positioned at the nape, using TRESemmé Mega Control Gel to seal the look and give long-lasting shine. Secure in place with an elastic.

STEP 4:  Release the top section and apply TRESemmé Mega Control Gel with a wide-tooth comb to create height and a raked effort. Use a second elastic to secure this section of hair into the ponytail.

STEP 5: Apply TRESemmé Mega Control Gel to the hair shaft to impart extra hold, laying along the spine or middle of the neck for shorter hair lengths.

STEP 6: To complete the look and add a satin finish, apply TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shine Serum to the top of the head and the ponytail.
