The Chinese brand ANTA hosted a kids NYFW show in collaboration with Opening Ceremony this past Saturday that brought the vibrance and essence of 90s athleisure to the runway.

Not many fashion shows open with a dance battle, but ANTA made sure to showcase the movement focus of their line with a quick throwdown between two youngsters to start things off.

From there the first half of the line all fell in theme with brightly colored pieces that were both chic and easy for kids to move around in. As the pint-sized models made their way down the runway they showed off windbreakers, bucket hats, and joggers that put a modern twist on “Fresh Prince” era fashion.

If the first half of the collection was Fresh Price, the second half as more reminiscent of The Matrix, with futuristically-nostalgic pieces that abandoned the bright colors but still allowed for movement, incorporating a ‘cool’ factor.

The show was all about the kids, and in attendance were supermodels Alessandra Ambrossio and Candace Swanepoel with their own little ones sitting front row.

Coco Rocha and her daughter Ioni Conran closed the show alongside each other, and brought the collection home is powerful outfits reminiscent of the 90s Olympian.
