NORR Culinary Collective Unveils Immersive Experience

You haven’t lived until you’ve strolled into a downtown LA loft at golden hour with a crisp class of French wine waiting for you. So, officially, I have lived.

NORR Kitchen, the culinary collective curating one-of-a-kind dining experiences for the city’s jet set, hosted an unforgettable soiree that was equal parts flights and flutes, surf and turf.

Their work has been featured in Vogue, Glamour, Elle Decor, and more, and my experience made it very clear why.

Krug Grande Cuvée greeted us as we strode toward floor-to-ceiling windows to take some truly legendary photos for Instagram. My story this entire day has been nothing short of perfection.

Next, I sipped on a The Macallan whiskey-based old-fashioned expertly made by Toribio Torres, a bartender equal parts showman and craftsman.

The Macallan was a special guest of sorts, treating us all to a special tasting and history of the classic Scottish brand.

NORR presented us with a six-course meal paired with organic wine from Sonoma’s Bell Mountain Ranch, a members-only private wine collection.

A standout course was the wild mushroom and quail egg with enoki, toasted bread, caramelized onion cream, and micro leeks. It was the perfect marriage of tender and substantial, savory and fresh, with a picture-perfect presentation.

Gnocchi with Lemon cream, crispy prosciutto, sage, and aged Balsamic was another highlight, the crispy prosciutto giving an almost down-home note to the elevated and suave gnocchi.

Our dessert was The NK’Smore. I can still taste the rich mousse and succulent brownie. This absolutely melted and ended the night on an unforgettable note.

Special shoutout to the rare wagyu short rib – perfectly cooked and drizzled with a sous vide that brought my partner and me to a marvelous place. It was perfectly cooked.

A dance party followed dinner and lent a romantic air to the inspired downtown environs. Cheers to a sensational evening.
